In order to be baptized, they first had to be married and luckily, the church offers this service for free.    We’re very excited to be having them join the church because they love the gospel and are excited to become members.  They have great developing testimonies.Taina is 9 months pregnant and is scheduled to be induced tomorrow morning (her due date is Thursday).  I was a little worried that she’d miss the wedding in order to have the child, but luckily that didn’t happen.

Zach let Isaac take a few pictures with my camera.  Isaac was very shy, but he managed to take this picture of the cake: A picture of the kitchen: and a plant: Little Jerry (pictured below) will be 2 in July and on the day of the wedding he was running around hugging everyone.  Ila was his favorite person to hug.  He’d run right up and hug her and she’d laugh and pull his hair, yet he was patent with her and didn’t get mad.Here’s a picture of Zach trying to become invisible so the kid behind him could see better, it didn’t work.I think the cake was their favorite part.  In fact, when I told them about the wedding they weren’t too thrilled till I mentioned that there’d be cake. Charlotte decided that she’d been photographed enough, she was probably right.

So my best friend David has been down at NAS Pensacola for some training, and I thought this was the best time to go see the National Museum of Naval Aviation with him.  I’ve always wanted to visit; they have a great selection of aircraft.  Naturally, a road trip these days means bringing Isaac with me; bringing Isaac usually means bringing Charlotte too.  Hit the jump for a boatload of pictures and a quick summary.

It’s quite fun to have kids who are content to go on drives with me.  And by drives, I mean drive from Knoxville to Pensacola (about 500 miles) one afternoon and drive back the next.  Both Isaac and Charlotte never once complained about being bored (hungry, yes) and seemed to enjoy the ride as much as I did.  They look bored, but they were actually asking lots of questions here:

After breakfast at IHOP, we headed over to the museum.  At first, Charlotte was very nervous, but she warmed up after a while.  Isaac was gung-ho from the start.  Here are some pictures.  One of the highlights for the kids was the number of cockpit displays available for them to climb in.  We showed them how to give a thumbs up when they were ready to go (we also had them hum the Top Gun theme).

After finishing up at the museum, we headed over to the beach.  This is the first time they’d been to any kind of beach, so they were very excited (that’s the Pensacola light in the background):

"not making someone blind" by Isaac.  I tried to get him to come up with something you can do instead of something that you can avoid doing by saying "what if a friend was coming over?  Can you think of one thing you could do to be kind to your friend?"  His response:  "not make my friend blind."

Not exactly what I planned to teach about kindness, but an interesting view of the 4-year-old-mind.
