Ila’s talking

Ila is a good little talker.  Her vocabulary is growing everyday and it’s often surprising what she can say.  I have recorded a little sample of her vocabulary here:

Listen for the following words:  unbuckle, no, walk, have a good day, and thank you.  She prefers to say “have a good day” over “good-bye” as you may notice at the end.

Here she is saying “Peek-a-boo”  I love that she says all three syllables:

Here she says “apple.”  Apples have become one of her favorite and she requests them everyday.

Here she is calling for Isaac:

Her vocabulary includes:  Charlotte, banana, bubble (when she wants a bath), stinky bottom (she has said these words together as I change her diaper), Mommy, kitty, meow (sounds like mnow), more, Daddy (Daddy always gives her a big kiss so she now says Daddy then makes kissy lips), hi, hello, oh no, uh oh, cracker, and my all time favorite is her “I love you” which she says as she gives me a hug and kiss.

Many more videos

So I’ve taken a few fun videos recently, but neglected to share them, so here they are:

This video of Ila saying the word dancing and dancing was taken before the first step videos that I posted yesterday:

This is a fun one of Nicole falling asleep at the table:

At the end where it looks like she bumps her head and wakes up, she actually stayed asleep and I carried her over to the couch where she had a proper nap.

Here’s some of Charlotte’s dancing (and some singing):

Here is one of Nicole spelling her name:

This one features Ila spelling her name:

Here’s the longer version so you can see it in context:

Ok, I think I got that out of my system.  I promise that next post will not be full of videos!

Happy Birthday Ila

I plan to write more about her later, but for now you’ll have to settle for a short video.  In this video you’ll see how she makes kissy noises (fish face) and hear her say her name:

I love you Ila Jane!!

For Grandma

Because we miss you a lot and wish you were here.

Charlotte and Nicole Dancing:

Informative little Nicole:

Ila eats, claps, and “talks”:

Sorry, no Isaac video, I’ll have to capture one of him afterschool sometime for you.

Charlotte Sings and Ila Laughs

Sorry to those who may be tired of our recent video dump, but I just can’t help but post two more that I took today.

Here is a video of Charlotte singing a song about Ila while Ila accompanies her on the rattle:

And here’s a video of Ila laughing:

A short video of Nicole, just because

I was trying to take a new video of Nicole moving around with her new cast on, but she didn’t really go anywhere.  She just kind of wiggled around.  I did however capture her trying to read this book filled with addition and subtraction problems.

I didn’t know that she recognized numbers yet, but whether she actually saw the numbers on the page that she named or just recognized that they were numbers and started saying numbers, I don’t know.  I suppose it’s a silly video to post.

Ambulatory Nicole

Here are some videos that I took of Nicole learning to move with her leg splint:

Here she does some climbing:

Here is a still picture with her cast:IMG_1007 So far she seems much happier in the cast.  I think it’s less painful for her.

Oh, Man!

Here’s a little Nicole clip to go with the Ila clip that I successfully posted moments ago.

For some unknown reason, Nicole just started saying “oh, man” and I thought it was cute so I got out my camera.  Maybe she was saying it because she was really tired from waking up repeatedly last night, who knows what happens in the brain of a 2-year-old?!
